Sports Journalism is something I have loved since I was an eight year old kid reading the San Jose Mercury News. Some of the writers I look up to are Mark Purdy, Alan Shipnuck, Tim Kawakami and Susan Slusser just to name a few. My advice for younger writers is to trust your gifts, be a polite pest, use your shoe leather, and always stay at the top of your game.
