I think the Coronavirus jokes are officially over. The sports world is now on high alert. Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert got diagnosed with COVID-19 right before the Jazz were suppose to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday Night.
The NBA considered playing in arenas with no fans in attendance. However, the NBA has decided to suspend the remainder of the season until the virus dies down. That could take months with the amount of time in just trying to find vaccinations.
We often look forward to sporting events because it is an escape. It is an escape from the real world that we deal with. All the problems are suppose to disappear when we watch sporting events. Those problems have intertwined with our escape. There is nothing we can do about it.
It took an All-Star basketball player getting Coronavirus to wake up the population. Twitter has lost their mind. These players are like Superheroes to all of us. We often think they are immortal. However, if today proved anything is that NBA players are human just like all of us.
